i read to V7 after volume seven , writer are changed and not so important. maybe publisher urge Ikki to write sequential for its popularity is high tell the truth its a leg for snake.
until V seven this manga focuses on living legend Masu Ohyama, founder of Kyokushin (極真＝search for truth) Karate. its story is more mangalike than realmanga w . hard to believe but maybe it is true.
this manga recruit new format that should be called sports documentary manga, none like this was there especially for kids market. Adult think that kids dont understand this , truth is reverse this type of reality , documentarity holds kids hearts. Ikki Kajiwara is i think better and bigger than Tezuka , media think Tezuka is godfather of manga ,but todays market none draw and make story like Tezuka , all of them are follower of Ikki Kajiwara , his underrated cauze is that he never holds pen ,he only write a story, He made a format what manga story should be like. Kinnikuman Dragon ball ,slum dunk One piece etc, there is no trace of Tezuka style , Kajiwara style is KING.
And i believe Tezuka has no talent to make story , yeah he made all of manga expression basic SE, Camera motion ,motion trace but his story! all took from other mans hand (like Budha Bible Hitler...firebird is well known story for asian...and fairlytail folklore.....Atom is Wells, and action manga are from Vern....nothing new!)
