HEがあのオンナの骨の髄まで懺悔させてるんだろう。でなければこんなにハナシを長引かせることはないだろうから
shrive to smock はあけすけに懺悔させるということ、smockは下着。下着一枚になるまでしゃべらせる、という下ねた。
シェイクスは天才的な下ねた作家であることをみなさんご注意。

邪魔していいものかね、意図を明かしてくれないからなぁ（meanにはいろいろなあてこすりがあって次の文と対、節度を守らないからなぁとも読める）
ALENCON.
He may mean more than we poor men do know:
HEはもっといろんなことを意味してるのだろう、WEのような貧しいものにはわからないが（mean のシャレ）
These women are shrewd（鋭い、口やかましい） tempters（誘惑者） with their tongues.

[Enter the Duke of Gloucester, with his Serving-men
in blue coats.]

GLOUCESTER.
I am come to survey the Tower this day:
Iはタワーの様子を見るためにきたのだ
Since Henry's death, I fear, there is conveyance.（伝達）
ヘンリーーが 死んでから、恐れるに、なにか密通が行われている
Where be these warders that they wait not here?
見張りはどこだ、どうしてあそこで待っていないんだ
Open the gates; 'tis Gloucester that calls.
門を開けよ、グロセスターが言っているのだ
FIRST WARDER.

こんなに高慢ちきに門を叩くのは誰だろう
FIRST SERVING-MAN.
It is the noble Duke of Gloucester.

SECOND WARDER.

Villains, answer you so the lord protector?

GLOUCESTER.
Lieutenant, is it you whose voice I hear?
Open the gates; here's Gloucester that would enter.

まぁまぁ根気を持ちなさい、うるわしきDu、開けることは出来ません
The Cardinal of Winchester forbids:

Thou that givest whores indulgences（免罪符、放蕩） to sin:

（聖書より、カインはアダムの長子。初めての人殺し。WiはGlから見ると、親父ヘンリー四世の腹違いの兄弟、でありクソジジィである。このコトバの真意は乞うご期待

Here Gloucester's men beat out the Cardinal's
men, and enter in the hurly-burly（ごたごたした） the Mayor of
London and his Officers.

Peace, mayor! thou know'st little of my wrongs:
Here's Beaufort, that regards nor God nor king,
Hath here distrain'd（差し押さえる） the Tower to his use.
静かにメイヤー、THOUは少しもIの間違いを知らないだろう、この何物をも恐れぬべフォートが、タワーを差し押さえて自由にしていたのだ
WINCHESTER.
Here's Gloucester, a foe to citizens,
One that still motions war and never peace,
これがGlだ、市民の敵、常に戦争を求めて平和を求めない
O'ercharging your free purses with large fines,
That seeks to overthrow religion,
Uのサイフにしこたま税金をかけるだろうし、宗教を放棄しようとしている
Because he is protector of the realm,

To crown himself king and suppress the prince.
Prという立場を利用して、このタワーから武装を固めて、王子を差し置いて自分が王位につこうとしているのだ
GLOUCESTER.
I will not answer thee with words, but blows.
THEEにはコトバではなくて、チカラでしめしてやるぞ
Here they skirmish again.

MAYOR.
Nought rests for me in this tumultuous strife（争い）

ちゃんと宣言をしなければこのやかましい争いの休みはこないだろう、オフィサーよこい、できるだけ大声で叫べ
OFFICER.
All manner of men assembled here in arms
this day against God's peace and the king's, we charge
and command you, in his highness' name, to repair to
ここにいるどんなニンゲンたちも、神の平和と王の名において命令する、どんな高名のものでも
your several dwelling-places; and not to wear, handle, or
use any sword, weapon, or dagger, henceforward, upon
pain of death.
ただちにいつもの場所へ戻ること、着ることも、使用することも、使うことも禁止する、剣も武器もダガーも、今後は死罪とする。
（列挙型法律文というやつ、これこれはしてなならない、窃盗、強姦、強盗・・・シェイクスにはどうやら法律の知識がある、これがシェイクスは共作の可能性大だという一例。田舎から出てきた文学好きの学歴なんてほぼ無しの青年がそんなにものを知ってるわけがないということ。確かにそれは大いにそうで、この時点では明らかに共作でしょう）
GLOUCESTER.
Cardinal, I 'll be no breaker of the law;
But we shall meet, and break our minds at large.
Ca、Iは法律を違反するものにはならないぞ、けどもう一度あったらその時は自由に本音を見せようじゃないか
WINCHESTER.
Gloucester, we will meet; to thy cost, be sure;
Thy heart-blood I will have for this day's work.

MAYOR.

Mayor, farewell: thou dost but what thou mayst.

See the coast clear'd, and then we will depart.

Good God, these nobles should such stomachs bear!
I myself fight not once in forty year.
やれやれだぜ、あの貴族どもはなんて豪胆なんだろう、Iはもう４０年は戦ったこともないのに・・
